The Farm:

Modern dairy farm with 480 commercial herd is seeking an Assistant Herdsperson/General Farm Worker. The herd are milked twice daily in 50-point dairy master rotary with parlour feeders. Herd are cubicle housed in winter and highs at night in summer. The herd are fed in parlour and grass silage ration.  

The position/applicant:

We are seeking a candidate who can lead a team. The role requires a person with experience in herding around cows and yard work. Milking is a one-person job and only takes two hours through the rotary. The farm, deal with calves up to 8 weeks old only. 

The successful candidate would be expect to milk once per day, with other duties including herding around cows and yard work. Milking is a one-person job and only takes two hours through the rotary. The farm, deal with calves up to 8 weeks old only.

•    Able to lead a team of workers.
•    Be an excellent herds person

Fantastic opportunity for a good dairy stockperson to focus on routine milking, herd health, foot trimming and AI. Nice three-bedroom house on site

The Farm:

This large dairy farm has a 300 commercial herd with autumn block calving. The herd is milked twice daily in a herringbone parlour and the herd are cubicle housed. The herd are TMR fed in winter and grazed throughout the summer. The successful applicant will be joining our client’s team of two.

The role/applicant:

We are seeking a Herdsperson for our client in South-West Wales. The key activities of this role will be milking twice daily and full range of stock work and stock care with particular emphasis on herd health. Experience in calving, foot trimming and AI a distinct advantage.

The successful candidate will have sound dairy experience, be a competent milker with proven ability to manager herd health. Telehandler operator an advantage.  

Accommodation is 3-bedroom house on site with oil central heating. 

This is a contract position, where the successful person will operate as an agency worker with Farm Solutions. This means that the person will not have sub contractor responsibilities and all statutory tax deductions and payments will be made by Farm Solutions on their behalf. This modern, well equipped dairy is looking for a General Farm Worker/ Milker for their 850 Commerical Friesian Holstein herd. Milking is completed three times daily in a well equipped 40 point external parlour. Herd is housed indoors all year  in mattress and sand bedded cubicles.  TMR and RMS systems in operation. Foot trimming outsourced.

A great opportunity to work in a college environment farm in Shropshire. The Farm is a successful commercial enterprise with dairy and sheep units and is seeking a General Farm Worker

The Farm:

This college runs a commercial farm enterprise with a new dairy unit incorporating both a Fullwood 24:23 herringbone milking parlour and a Fullwood Merlin Robot.

The dairy has cows, young stock housing, and a milking herd of 300. The Farm has a lowland sheep flock of 600 breeding ewes and with the various cereal, forage ad root crops enterprises, it is an excellent farming environment providing an excellent and varied learning environment as well as the provision of an excellent working conditions.

The role/applicant:

This role of General Farm Worker is varied and entails:

  • Time spent between the dairy herd and working with the sheep
  • Milking once a day either mornings or afternoons on a Rota basis
  • Working with the sheep to help maintain a healthy flock
  • Tractor duties such as scraping, bedding and feeding
  • Fieldwork if required such as fencing etc.

We are seeking a candidate who is an experienced stockperson, a competent milker with Tractor driving skills. Current DBS is essential for this role.

Single Accommodation is provided.

A Milker/ General Farm Worker is required to join our client’s modern dairy farm in Worcestershire. This position has great potential for the right candidate to progress.

The Farm:

This farm runs a 430 Holstein Fresien herd on 500 acres. The herd is milked three times daily in a 32:32 Westfalia herringbone parlour. The herd are grazed in the summer and cubicle housed in the winter. The successful candidate would be joining our client’s team of five.
